An arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is an abnormal tangle of arteries and veins, which can disrupt normal blood flow and can potentially lead to brain damage or stroke if it ruptures.

This month, we’re raising awareness, supporting survivors & families, and reminding our community: No one should face an AVM alone. 💙

It's Race Day Houston! We can't wait to see you!

🌦️ We’re monitoring the weather and we are moving forward as planned. We’ll race rain or shine!

The only reason we would cancel or postpone is if severe weather creates unsafe conditions for our participants, volunteers, or staff, such as lightning or other dangerous conditions. If that happens, we’ll communicate any changes by email and on our social media channels.

🚗 Parking: Turn into the first parking lot on your right and park near the pavilion. If that lot is full, continue around the roundabout to the overflow lot near the dog park.

🏃‍♀️🧑‍🦽 Walk, run, roll, or move at your own pace. There’s no pressure to finish. Just come be part of this incredible community!

🌮 Stick around after the race for breakfast tacos, water, survivor recognition, and a celebration of everyone who showed up.

Arteriovenous malformations, or AVMs, are abnormal connections between arteries and veins that can occur in the brain and other parts of the body. Brain AVMs can rupture and cause a hemorrhagic stroke, sometimes without warning.

This October, we’re raising awareness, supporting survivors and families, and helping ensure that no one faces an AVM alone.
