REPORT - Warning & Investigation Request

Over the course of a year, multiple Texas Cannabis Industry Association (“TCIA”) members raised concerns about a CBD Company product line. The company markets itself to physician offices, retailers and the general public as being safe for both adults and children. After multiple independent test results showed heavy metal contaminant levels that are exponents above established FDA safety thresholds, TCIA was compelled to take action. The following information is the culmination of months of research conducted by volunteer TCIA members.

TCIA is now publishing these findings with the intent to inform the public and relevant agencies with the information we have found. We strongly suggest research be conducted by state and/or federal authorities including the FDA to determine product safety, especially regarding children.

Top Trump Campaign Spokesman: Ma*****na Must Be ‘Kept Illegal’ – Forbes, Author - Tom Angell (of Ma*****na Majority & Ma*****na Moment),

"Asked in a new interview about President Trump’s position on changing federal ma*****na laws, a top reelection campaign aide said the administration’s policy is that cannabis and other currently illegal drugs should remain illegal.

'I think what the president is looking at is looking at this from a standpoint of a parent of a young person to make sure that we keep our kids away from drugs,' Marc Lotter, director of strategic communications for the Trump 2020 effort, said in an interview with Las Vegas CBS affiliate KLAS-TV.

'They need to be kept illegal,' he said. 'That is the federal policy.'"

Trump has voiced support for letting states set their own cannabis laws, but his administration has taken some opposing actions.

Texas H**p Community Achievement Awards was established to provide a platform to acknowledge Texas' advocates, businesses, organizations and lawmakers who contribute to our h**p industry and culture. While it's too early to successfully reward Texans for products and services, it would be too late to wait a year to honor those individuals and entities that helped bring h**p to Texas. 2020 Awards are listed on the "About" page for reference. We look forward to uncovering the best of Texas' h**p leaders.

Last Prisoner Project receives a donation from each event ticket.

Read more of their story from Harper's mom, Penny Howard on HuffPost:

"I launched a blog, Hope4Harper CDKL5... to document Harper’s struggle with CDKL5 and how RSHO h**p oil stopped her seizures and helped give some of her life back.

How could I ever know that Katiele Fischer, a mother of another CDKL5 daughter Anny Fischer in Brazil, would find Harper’s blog... as she desperately searched for her own answers? ...[Katiele] had RSHO shipped to her illegally from relatives in the U.S....

Just like Harper’s, Anny’s seizures started to disappear. When the worst happened and Katiele was caught importing the CBD oil illegally... [she] stormed up the steps of ANVISA, Brazil’s FDA, and sued the federal government of Brazil for her right to access RSHO to save little Anny."

USDA Releases Proposed H**p Regulations For Public Comment- From Ma*****na Moment

"The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released draft rules for h**p manufacturing on Tuesday and said it will soon begin accepting state regulatory plans for the newly legal crop.

The interim final rule on h**p will be formally published in the Federal Register on Thursday, with a 60-day public comment period to follow. Once the rules are finalized, USDA will begin to evaluate states’ and tribes’ submitted regulations plans, and any jurisdictions that do not send proposals will fall under the department’s general guidelines for producing the crop, which was federally legalized under the 2014 Farm Bill.

The regulations cover the requirements for where h**p can be grown, THC testing standards, the disposal process for crops that don’t meet federal standards and licensing protocols."

Former FDA Commissioner Calls For De-scheduling And Federal Regulation
National Cannabis Industry Association

"With uncertainty about the proximate cause of the va**ng crisis continuing to roil state regulators, and state governors trying to determine the right short-term solution to protect the public health, the former Commissioner of the FDA has a longer-term plan. Former Commissioner Scott Gottlieb is rightly calling for de-scheduling and federal regulation in an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal. NCIA made the same argument in our Policy Council’s recent white paper on regulating cannabis post-legalization and in our public responses to the va**ng crisis.
..We can’t continue to leave the cannabis industry in a state of uncertainty. It’s time to deschedule, regulate at the federal level, and require mandatory lab testing. We must displace the illegal, unregulated and untested illicit market. There is no plan B."
