We are an active troop meeting on Tuesday nights at 7pm at the First United Methodist Church in Cape May Court House from September through June. In addition we have monthly activities/trips that may include camping, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, skiing, community service and fundraising

🏕️🔥 Another Great Weekend of Scouting Adventures! 🇺🇸🍕

Troop 65 had a great weekend filled with camping, history, adventure, and some REALLY big pizza!

Five Scouts and four adult leaders joined us for this weekend's adventure!

We kicked things off Friday night at Goshen Pond Campground in the beautiful New Jersey Pine Barrens. Nothing beats sitting around a campfire, sharing ghost stories, and enjoying a night outdoors with fellow Scouts! 🔥👻

Saturday morning, we headed to Lindenwold, where we hopped aboard the PATCO train and made our way into Philadelphia to complete the Benjamin Franklin Historical Trail! 🚆🇺🇸

Along the way, our Scouts explored historic Philadelphia, visited landmarks connected to Benjamin Franklin and our nation's founding, and learned about the people and events that helped shape American history.

Of course, no Scout adventure is complete without some good food! 🍕 We wrapped up our Philadelphia adventure with a stop at Tony Bella's, where we tackled a massive 28-inch pizza with slices almost as big as the Scouts themselves!

From ghost stories around the campfire to walking through American history and enjoying some giant slices of pizza, it was another weekend of making memories, learning new things, and having fun together.

That's what Scouting is all about!

Pack 65 is holding an Ice Cream Social & Open House on Monday, September 21st at 6:00 PM at Middle Township Elementary #2!
If you have a child in grades K–5 who might be interested in Scouting, this is a great opportunity to come out, enjoy some ice cream, meet the Pack, and learn what Cub Scouts is all about.
Scouting starts with Cub Scouts, and strong Packs help build strong Troops. Please help us support Pack 65 by sharing this post with any local families who may be interested!

Congratulations to our Scoutmaster, Mark, on being selected as the Osprey District Scoutmaster of the Year!

This recognition is incredibly well deserved. Long after his own son completed the Scouting program, Mark continued to dedicate his time to helping the next generation of Scouts learn, grow, and succeed.

Over the years, he has guided countless youth through rank advancements, campouts, service projects, leadership positions, and life lessons that extend far beyond Scouting. His commitment, patience, and willingness to always be there for the Scouts have made a lasting impact on so many families, including ours.

Awards like this are given to individuals who go above and beyond, and anyone who has worked with Mark knows that description fits him perfectly.

Thank you, Mark, for everything you do for Troop 65 and for the countless hours you've invested in helping young people become better leaders and better people.

To all the Scout moms out there… thank you.

Thank you for the early mornings, late nights, muddy uniforms, forgotten water bottles, camping prep, merit badge runs, fundraising help, and endless support behind the scenes.

Scouting would not be possible without the moms who encourage their Scouts to try new things, step outside their comfort zones, and grow into strong young leaders.

Today we celebrate all the amazing mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who help make Troop 65 family what it is.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Troop 65! 🌷⚜️

Troop 65 had a great trip to the Wetlands Institute this weekend.

Scouts worked on the Insect Study merit badge, getting hands-on experience learning about local species and their role in the ecosystem. They also had the opportunity to tour the aquarium and the terrapin station, where they learned about the importance of protecting our coastal wildlife.

One of the highlights of the day was the touch tank experience, where Scouts got to interact with and learn about multiple species of marine life found right here in our local waters.

A great day of learning, exploration, and fun!
