Watching you all graduate is bittersweet. I know you’re all destined for amazing things, and it’s been an honor to watch you grow into the balanced men (and sweethearts) that you are today. You’ve set the standard and left a legacy that won’t be forgotten. It won’t be the same without you around, the late nights, the laughs, everything. Thankful for every memory we’ve shared.

SIGEP SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: SWEETHEART EDITION

Senior: Anna Hartz

Anna became a SigEp Sweetheart in Fall of 2025 because…

“I was so thrilled to be invited to become a sweetheart of SigEp because of all of the amazing friendships and deep bonds I have made with the brothers. Over the years, I have gotten to see so many members come and go, all of whom I was able to watch grow in immense ways. The strength, intelligence, compassion, and humor of the brothers of this organization are so admirable and make me so proud to be able to represent SigEp as a brother now too!”

After graduation plans:

“After graduation, I plan to take a gap year in Houghton working in the mental health field before heading to grad school for either my Master’s or PhD in clinical psychology!”

SIGEP SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Senior: Sergio Guzman

Sergio became a SigEp in Spring of 2024 because…

“I joined SigEps because I became friends with most of the brothers and connected with the values they portray. Before coming to college, I never thought I would join a fraternity because I had the stereotypical idea of a frat and I didn’t think I would fit in, but after meeting most of the brothers my perspective completely changed and I realized how diverse and supportive this group of people are. What I really liked about SigEps is that there is always someone willing to hangout, and before I realized SigEps became my home away from home.”

After graduation plans:

“After graduation I will be working in Grand Rapids at a property management company for the summer and then I will come back up for my Masters in Business Administration in the fall. I’m excited to be back and be involved with SigEps as an Alumni.”

SIGEP SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Senior: Jordan Jedele

Jordan became a SigEp in Spring 2024 because…

“I joined SigEp because I started hanging out with some brothers and realized it was a great community I wanted to be apart of. Having a community of brothers to do community service with and hang out with at the gym or the house was something that really helped me through college. It helped me get out of my comfort zone at times and I knew there was always someone supporting me no matter what. ”

After graduation plans:

“After graduation I am moving back to home to work at Commonwealth in Jackson Michigan in May. Between graduation and starting my job I plan on traveling a little and going to some Detroit Tigers games.“

SIGEP SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Senior: Andrew Shore

Andrew became a SigEp in Fall of 2022 because…

“I joined SigEp after forming bonds with the people in my dorm and my RA Matthew Blevins and going out to the social events with them. I found the brothers at SigEp to be welcoming and always ready to extend help or guidance when I needed it. Even to this day my brothers welcome me to the house and are always excited to see me show up something that makes my day every single time. Being a brother at SigEps has created many long lasting memories and bonds with people that I’ll remember and cherish.”

After graduation plans:

“I plan to pursue a masters at ethier Wayne State University or Oakland University. I am planning on taking a trip to Toronto with my friends to celebrate our graduation, and I plan to finding a part time job to start paying off my loans. ”

SIGEP SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Senior: Tom Gutierrez

Tom became a SigEp in Fall of 2022 because…

“Before coming to Tech I never thought I’d join a fraternity. After meeting a few of the brothers around campus and seeing their high level of performance in all aspects of their lives, I quickly began to reconsider. SigEp stood out to me specifically due to the balanced lifestyle it preaches to its members, and the “work hard, play hard” mentality almost every brother has. Many of my greatest memories and friends came from SigEp, so I couldn’t be happier that I joined.”

After graduation plans:

“I’ll be moving down to Dallas TX to begin my full-time position at Harmon, which is a construction company that installs glass curtainwall on high rise buildings all across the country. I’ve done two summers of internships down there already, so I can’t wait to join my coworkers and friends again. Although it’s sad to say goodbye for now, I’m looking forward to moving away and building something new.”
