Thank you everybody for your help chopping wood with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly. APO, Blue Key and Circle K all worked together to chop and organize wood on the last Saturday of March (during Smelt Fry!). It was wonderful to see all of the alumni, and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Some news from carnie and updates about smelt fry:

This is the alien that we masterfully crafted for the all-nighter snow sculpture building event. We also masterfully sculpted and carved our Greek letters into the snow. Pictured alongside the snow sculpture are beloved brothers brothers, new member educator Logan and secretary Katherine. We look forward to seeing you all passed out in the snow!

Smelt Fry Update! Just a reminder that Smelt Fry is at Wildlife Rescue Cabins on March 27th-29th. We also will have a service project on the 28th chopping wood for little brother of the elderly!

Hello brothers! Last weekend we did a service event at the Finnish American Heritage Center to help them with celebrating and setting up Heikinpäivä. We helped people carry stuff from TORI (an indoor market) and set up for iltamat (a dance!). It was a lot of fun, featured in the photo are secretary Katherine and new member educator Logan (both new members!).

Hello Brothers! We at tech are gearing up for one freakishly cold week, so I thought some memories from national convention would inspire you all to think some warm thoughts for us. Hello Brothers, Alumni, and Friends alike!

We at Epsilon Lambda would like to wish you a Happy Holidays, With exams coming to a close last week our members have been making their ways home to spend time with loved ones, and we hope you all get a chance to do the same.

We would love to announce that smelt fry, our yearly fellowship tradition, is being held at Wildlife Refuge Cabins in South Range on March 27th through March 29th. We would love if you would join us for fellowship and service that weekend.

We are also excited to attend the national convention at the end of this month, and we look forward to seeing some of you there. Please see our previous post about how to support us on our way there, and feel free to ask any questions!

Hello Brothers!

As some of you know the national convention for the centennial year is coming up. Two of our brothers want to attend as voting delegates and need your help to get there!

Our treasurer has already gotten us a grant for the cost of tickets, and applied to the parents fund for housing. We are also looking to stay in rooms with our brothers from UofM, whom we met at the regional conference.

As a bit of encouragement I will be setting up a couple donation goals, to hopefully provide some entertainment while we are on this journey.

$200 - Travel Vlog to and from the conference, detailing stops, people, and sights we see along the way.

$300 - Daily conference posts with interviews of anyone we can get our hands on, detailing voting, workshops, and anything else I can find interesting.

$500 - Most liked comment (within reason) give our brothers a challenge, a silly outfit to wear, or an excuse for me to bring my bass guitar to conference.

Hello Brothers! I wanted to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving and tell you guys about the exciting interchapter activities we have done over the past semester...

This semester we hosted our sectional conference at Ge**er scout reservation, meeting brothers from other chapters and enjoying some peace and quiet out in the woods of west Michigan. We cleared trails, climbed towers, and flew down a zipline while learning about Leadership, Fellowship, and Service.

Also this past week one of our brothers got a chance to do some service with our brothers from UofM, handing out winter wellness packages to those in need around Ann Arbor!

We have further updates to share with you, which will be posted tomorrow, enjoy your time with loved ones sharing food and thanks this holiday!

Welcome to the first meet a member of 2025! The week’s member is Ethan Rice. He’s an electrical engineer with a minor in math. His favorite part of APO is working with people who have a shared interest in serving local communities.

To learn more about being a member of APO, or if you are curious of what you can do to become more invovled on campus and the Houghton/Hancock communities, come to our Smash and Smash event tonight at 6:15 in the Wads lobby or on Sunday from 12-3 in Fisher 126!
