The Balanced Man Scholarship The Balanced Man Scholarship is awarded each year to incoming first years whom show 'Balance' in the The Balanced Man Ideal is central to Sigma Phi Epsilon.

The Balanced Man Scholarship is awarded each year to the most ‘balanced’ incoming freshmen. Sigma Phi Epsilon utilizes the Balanced Man Scholarship to acknowledge and commend students that exemplify the four characteristics we value the most in our brothers – athleticism, leadership, scholarship, and gentle-manliness. We encourage brothers to live a balanced life—continually developing and achievi

ng in all aspects of their lives. The Balanced Man Scholarship allows Sigma Phi Epsilon to give back to the community and show that fraternities are more than the stereotypical ‘Animal House’ fraternity.
