Last night was one for the Nighthawks.

NPC Alumni & Friends gathered at Dickey-Stephens Park for baseball, ballpark food, and a whole lot of Nighthawk fun. And the best part? The night was on the house.

Thanks to Pafford Medical Services, our presenting sponsor, our Alumni & Friends members and their families enjoyed this special evening completely FREE.

The Pafford crew didn’t just sponsor an event. They gave our Nighthawk family a reason to get together!

So, what does that actually mean? For every dollar invested in NPC, our community sees an estimated $6.40 in long-term value. Education creates a ripple effect through higher earning potential, a stronger workforce and a stronger community.

In other words, investing in education pays off far beyond the classroom.

September is Hunger Awareness Month, and NPC’s Fill the Pantry tradition is back! Starting this week, departments, classes and student organizations across campus will go head-to-head to see who can collect the most food for the Helping Hawks Food Pantry. It’s a little friendly competition with a big purpose.

But filling the pantry doesn’t stop at the edge of campus. Our community can help, too. A few extra items on your next grocery trip can make a difference. So can a collection among co-workers, friends or neighbors. However you choose to help, it all adds up.

For a student facing food insecurity, something as simple as a stocked pantry can help fill the gap between hunger and getting to class, studying for the test, or making it through the day.

One small act can fill the gap.
