The Hot Springs Civitan Club is excited to participate in the 2026 polar plunge to raise funds for Special Olympics Arkansas.
We will be plunging this Saturday, February 14 at Hot Springs Health & Fitness (by the mall).

Event details & schedule:
📝 10:00 am – Registration opens
🎉 10:45 am – Parade of plungers & awards
❄️ 11:00 am – Plunge begins
🏁 11:30 am – Event concludes

🌿 Garvan Woodland Gardens – Kids in Nature

Back in April, we welcomed Rush Fentress and Paige Scoggins from Garvan Woodland Gardens. They shared how the Kids in Nature programs are helping children build confidence, creativity, and a love for the outdoors through hands-on exploration.

🅿️🚧🚗 Big updates coming to downtown Hot Springs!

We were honored to welcome Deputy City Manager Lance Spicer to our last week’s meeting, where he shared key insights about:

• The newly implemented downtown parking regulations
• The Hot Springs Community Resource Center
• Plans for the Former Army-Navy Hospital, sometimes referred to as Arkansas Rehab Center
• The former Majestic Hotel site
• The soon to be closed Levi Hospital

We have a great program lined up for Wednesday, May 28th. Chris Joannides, Director of the Community Resource Center, will share with us the services being offered by the newly opened center at 109 Hobson.

It is becoming so much more than an emergency heating or cooling shelter. Come to Smokin' in Style to hear about the vision for this organization and find out about other organizations with which it is partnering.

The city, along with many volunteers, churches, and organizations, has invested significant money and thousands of hours getting this off the ground.

Come learn all about it. 5:30 to eat then the meeting begins at 6:00. The club will buy dinner for first-time guests. Invite your friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Anyone interested in the Community Resource Center or Civitan.

Join us Thursday, April 24 at the Hot Springs YMCA in supporting the incredible athletes at the 2025 Area 10 Special Olympics Swim Meet!

Our club will be serving as timers for the event.
*No experience is needed • Training will be provided on-site.

We’ll meet at 8:45 AM and should be finished by noon.

🌊It’s a fun, inspiring morning and a great way to give back to our community.
