Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day we pause to remember the lives weβve lost to overdose and the families, friends, and loved ones left behind to carry that loss.
Behind every statistic is a person who was loved, a story that mattered, a life taken too soon and a family forever changed.
The Hot Springs Police Department stands with our community in remembrance, compassion, and hope. Wear purple with us today to honor those weβve lost, support those who are grieving, and remind those still struggling that they are not alone.
In 2021, the Hot Springs Police Department made a commitment to fight the overdose crisis in our city by creating a dedicated Overdose Response Team. Today, that team is still showing upβstanding beside the families left behind, seeking justice and accountability for those whose lives were taken by overdose, and fighting for those who are still here.
