Friends of the Garland County Library

Friends of the Garland County Library The Friends of the Garland County Library was incorporated in 1976 as an Arkansas non-profit. We sell donated books and other items to support GCL programs.

Please donate ONLY clean, undamaged books: no textbooks, encyclopedias, oversized books. Thanks! The group's purpose is to increase library services by:

1) raising funds through the sale of donated books, DVDs, and other materials that are available year-round in the library's Back Corner Bookshop (Book Sale Room), and
2) soliciting supporting membership by the public

All of the money raised

goes to the library to fund special programs or purchase materials. Volunteers manage the Back Corner Bookshop (Book Sale Room). They sort, price, and shelve donated books, DVDs, Cds, puzzles, and other items. Their work hours are 830 am to 1100am on Mondays and Thursdays. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer.
