✨A Recap of September Activities at Hosanna Community!✨

We had such a fun and full month here at Hosanna! From hiking with Chattanooga Therapeutic Recreation Services to visiting the gardens at Greenway Farms to getting a visit from our furry friends at Love On A Leash Scenic City Therapy Pets 🦮 to baking and crafting, we made lots of sweet memories in September. 🍁🍂🌻

October has already been off to a great start! We are so thankful for the fellowship and friendship here at Hosanna. 🌿

A huge THANK YOU to the 24 volunteers from Mauldin & Jenkins CPAs & Advisors , LLC who spent the morning with us at Hosanna on September 18th as part of United Way of Greater Chattanooga's Day of Caring! ❤️

From moving brush and cleaning gutters to painting rooms at Faith House, lawn care, and trail maintenance, these volunteers helped make our community a more beautiful and welcoming place for our residents.

We are so grateful for their time, hard work, and willingness to serve! Thank you, Mauldin and Jenkins, LLC, for partnering with us to make a difference at Hosanna!

The Hosanna Community is hiring!

We are looking to on-board a full-time Director of Operations and Outreach and a part-time Education and Activities Coordinator. If you have the availability to pick-up a shift from time to time, we also have an “As Needed” opportunity in our Resident and Operations Assistant capacity. Each position requires an interest and understanding of working with those who live with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. We’re wishing everyone a happy Fourth of July from all of us at Hosanna Community! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate more than two centuries of independence, we hope your day is filled with time spent with the people who make you feel at home—whether that means fireworks, a cozy cookout, or a quiet moment of gratitude.

Please note that our office will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day. We look forward to reconnecting with you after the holiday weekend.

We had such a wonderful time riding the Incline Railway! Our residents loved the views, the adventure, and sharing the experience together. Moments like these remind us how special it is to explore our beautiful community and make memories side by side.

We’re excited to celebrate Father’s Day and honor the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who bring so much strength, guidance, and joy to our community.

At Hosanna Community, we see every day how important these roles are in building independence, confidence, and belonging for the adults we serve. Today, we’re grateful for the love, support, and steady encouragement that father figures provide.

It has been a full and joyful few weeks here at Hosanna Community! We have been celebrating birthdays, planting flowers to welcome the warm weather, and getting in some much‑needed yard work together.

Our residents love staying active and spending time with friends, and these moments of connection are what make our community so special.

We are always looking for volunteers who want to build friendships, share their time, and be part of everyday life here. If you’re interested in making a difference, we would love to meet you!

Every June 14th, we take a moment to honor Flag Day and the history behind the Stars and Stripes. At Hosanna Community, traditions like this remind us how symbols of unity and resilience can bring people together—much like our own mission here in Hixson.

Here are a few lesser‑known facts we love sharing with our residents, families, volunteers, and supporters:

• The current 50‑star flag was designed by a 17‑year‑old student in 1958 and selected by President Eisenhower.
• There have been 27 official U.S. flag versions, most updated as new states joined the Union.
• Red, white, and blue carry symbolic meanings suggested in 1774: courage, purity, and justice.
• Six American flags were planted on the moon during the Apollo missions.
• Today’s design is the longest‑running version in U.S. history.

Our team at Hosanna Community wishes a warm and Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, grandmothers, caregivers, and maternal figures who pour so much love into the people around them.

From supporting little ones in their first steps to cheering on teens and adults as they grow more independent, the impact of a mother’s guidance reaches every stage of life. Our independent living community for adults with disabilities is constantly reminded of how deeply family support shapes confidence, belonging, and hope.

Our residents have been busy spreading joy this week as they created heartfelt gifts for Mother’s Day.
Watching everyone put so much care, creativity, and love into each handmade piece was truly special.
We are grateful for moments like these that remind us how meaningful community life can be.
