Mission Northside We were formed from a deep desire to see lives transformed by the power of the resurrected Jesus.

Mission Northside is an Anglican church community born out of Mission Downtown with plans to plant a new church body rooted in the Hixson community in the fall/winter of 2025. We exist to reach the unchurched, renew the Church, and form a Spirit-filled community shaped by worship, belonging, and mission. As part of The Mission Chattanooga, we believe that church planting is one of the most effective ways to bless a city, and we feel called to help cultivate flourishing in Hixson and the surrounding neighborhoods. Whether you’re seeking God for the first time or longing for deeper connection, we invite you to belong, grow, serve, and go with us.

Making space in our lives to be with God can be challenging. The world is constantly inviting us into endless busyness, hurry, and distraction.

As a church, we desire to resist the invitation of the world and welcome the invitation of the Holy Spirit to enter into fellowship and intimacy with Christ.

Join us on September 29, at 6:30 PM for a monthly prayer and worship night. This is a moment that we are setting aside to make space to be with God.

One of our core values is that we exist to encounter God.

God is living and active in the world and invites us into communion with Him. God is in pursuit of you, and a relationship with Jesus is more than theology and more than an exercise in reason. God is real, personal, and present. He invites us not simply to know about Him, but to know Him and experience His presence in our lives.

The opportunity to encounter God often begins with the simple practice of paying attention. God is present and active all around us, inviting us into a real relationship with Him. And when we encounter God, we do not remain unchanged. As we behold Him, the Holy Spirit transforms us more and more into the likeness of Christ.

Therefore, our deepest desires is that people encounter God in the seeking, the interruptions, and the relationships in your lives.

“And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.”

2 Corinthians 3:18

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
    his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness, steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
    his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23

Back-to-school season is here, and we’re grateful for the way our community showed up for one another!

Because of all the donations from Mission Northside and Valleybrook Church, Northside Neighborhood House was able to provide much-needed school supplies to families at Hixson Middle School, helping students begin the year equipped, encouraged, and ready to learn.

This is what we love about our community: when people and organizations come together, small acts of generosity can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors.

We’re thankful for everyone who gave, for Northside Neighborhood House and the incredible work they do in the area, and especially for the teachers, students, and families of Hixson Middle School as they begin a new school year.

Here’s to a great year, Hixson!
