A Soldier's Journey Home "A Soldier's Journey Home" was started after years of volunteerism and dedication to this great country.

A Soldier's Journey Home (ASJH) is a group of volunteers primarily comprised of current and retired Firefighters, Police Officers, Emergency Medical Personnel and retired Military Veterans from more than fourteen states. Over the past 15 years, they have worked on a variety of disaster relief construction projects and now focus their charitable efforts toward severely injured veterans.

We are a group of volunteers who ignite a community to build a home specially adapted for a service member with disabilities. Our goal is to have the community come together to help those who have given so much of themselves for our Country.

The moment it all became real.
After months of planning, building, and countless hours from dedicated volunteers and supporters, Nathan and Veronica finally got to step inside their new home for the first time.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Congratulations, Nathan and Veronica, we are honored to have been part of this journey with you.

This year, we took time during the build to honor the memory of one of our beloved volunteers, Dee Capretta.

To celebrate Dee’s life and lasting impact on A Soldier’s Journey Home and its volunteers, we dedicated a tree in her memory. Though she is deeply missed, her kindness, dedication, and spirit continue to live on through the people and community she helped build.

Whether you spent one day with us or were there every step of the way, your hard work, dedication, and willingness to serve helped transform a construction site into a home for Nathan and Veronica.
