Hi all. At Hartland Golf parking lot at 4:15 PM, we came across this bird. Looks like a pet and maybe got out? Anyone able to claim it?

Our boy Kiki is blossoming 🩵
He has an affectionate curiosity for other birds and behaves in a way that indicates he is longing for interaction.

He’s a very sweet boy who checks in on all of the fosters in his world currently.
He loves to chat everyone up in the home including the humans he shares his space with.
We 🩵 you Keeks (nickname) and are working hard to get you your very own forever family.

**Yoshi’s family information in post**

Our pet Eclectus parrot got loose on Friday, June 5. We are on Sawmill Road in Tewksbury Township (Lebanon). He is very tame and friendly, medium/large parrot - bright green with a yellow beak. Nothing native to NJ looks like this.

He's most likely sitting quietly high in a tall tree, but may come down near houses, decks, railings, or bird feeders looking for food, and may approach people.

IF YOU SEE HIM - PLEASE:

• Don't chase or grab at him - he'll startle and fly. Just keep your eyes on him.

• Call or text me immediately with the location, any hour, day or night - 954-980-1177

• If he comes to you, you can offer fruit, veggies, nuts, or seeds and talk to him. He says "Yoshi" (his name), hello, I love you, etc.

Please share with neighbors and anyone nearby with bird feeders. Thank you for watching for him.

FTLOB has many beautiful souls waiting for their meant to be.
Today, we are highlighting our Budgies
🩵💚💛

Kiwi, Bleu, Coco, and Rita are a group of four shy Budgies.
One male and three females.
They will be adopted out together.

They came into the rescue from a woman who had inherited them from a relative.
Unfortunately, she felt she couldn't give them the attention they deserved.
Rita is male-the other 3 of the group are female.

No nests are present, and there has been no egg laying in the two months or
so that they’ve been with their foster family.

They came into their foster home quite skittish.
They seemed to be very nervous when people came into the room with them.
They have now become accustomed to their foster family being nearby, and
reaching into the cage to clean it and care for them.
All of them except Kiwi are willing to eat millet from their foster mom’s hands.

This lovely group gets plenty of free flying time, and all cooperate when it’s
bedtime and retreat to their cage for the night.

These four are a happy little family that offers a lot of entertainment to anyone in the room!
They talk, and enjoy chattering when people are nearby, and are very open to
interaction .

FTLOB has many beautiful souls waiting for their meant to be.
Today, we are highlighting our Budgies
💚💚💚

Piper is a beautiful Green and Teal , 7-year-old male budgie.
He was surrendered to our rescue by a woman who was no longer able to care for him. He spent all of his time in his cage with his female partner, Picasso. However, she has recently showed aggression towards him after years of sharing a cage with him, and they unfortunately had to be separated.

Piper is skittish since his previous owner did not work with him at all, and he remained in his cage full time.🥹

Piper’s foster is working on getting him more comfortable around hands and people in general. He is very food motivated which builds trust.

With the proper patience, Piper will accept millet from a person’s hand. He is comfortable and happy when people are in the same room, but gets nervous when people start to get too close, or put their hands in his cage.

Piper is quiet for a bird and occasionally likes to chatter.

This boy is very sweet and gentle.
Piper deserves a new start.
