The 16th Annual Molly Bear Golf Outing will be on Monday, August 4th, at Mercer Oaks Golf Course! For 16 years, this event has allowed us to celebrate Molly’s life, honor her legacy, and support families who have a child with Trisomy 18. We could not have done it without the love and encouragement of our family, friends, and supporters. Your generosity has meant the world to us and the families we have been able to help. This year is especially emotional for us because we will be moving to Florida this summer, and as a result, this will be the final Molly Bear Golf Outing. While this year's event may be on a smaller scale, we look forward to being together to celebrate Molly, support the Trisomy 18 community, and raise money to help families in need. As we prepare for our last outing, we could use your help with donations for our silent auction and raffle. If you’re able to donate an item or items, please message us. Stay tuned for more details.

It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Molly Bear board member and friend, who everyone knew as The Colonel. Although he wasn’t well enough to play in our annual golf outing this year, he still came to see us and donate his Army football experience, a popular auction item every year. He always ended his emails giving love to the Browns and “Go Army!”We are glad he was able to watch Army have an amazing season. If only he could have watched the Black Knights beat Tulane to become conference champions for the first time in 134 years! He will be remembered for his generous, loving, and selfless spirit, always putting others before himself. Rest in peace, Colonel. You will always be a special part of Molly Bear, and we will cherish the memories. ♥️

As stated in this African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child." Molly experienced many health challenges, and every day, I feel lucky to have had our village of family and friends who helped us care for her. I recognize that not everyone has a village to help them, which makes me appreciate even more the people who were there for us. When Molly died, we started The Molly Bear Foundation to honor her and support other families. Now, our village of family, friends, and even strangers, come together to help us with the golf outing, our main fundraising event. For those who have hosted an outing or similar event, you know how much work goes on behind the scenes.

This year, over 100 golfers played, and around 150 people were in attendance for the dinner/silent auction. At one point, a golfer who just finished playing on the other course at Mercer Oaks, stopped by to ask about our foundation. His good friend (who lives in NJ) has a daughter who has Trisomy 18. He plans to put us in touch with them and hopes to play in our outing next summer.

Recently, our foundation awarded a grant to a family to help them attend the SOFT Conference, an annual trisomy conference. When they returned, they shared, "We wouldn’t have been able to make these special memories and be a part of SOFT 2024 with others who understand our life struggles if it wasn’t for your family’s generosity and kindness. I can’t thank you enough."

We are humbled and grateful for the support of our village! Because of you, we can continue making a difference.

Working on welcome bags for the golf outing. Thank you to everyone who has registered to play, attend the dinner/auction, donated, and volunteered to help. We just received a nice thank you from a family who was able to attend the SOFT Trisomy Conference this year with help from Molly Bear! All of you play a part in making a difference. 💗 We look forward to seeing you Monday!

Please join us for the 15th Annual Molly Bear Golf Outing to benefit the Molly Bear Foundation on Monday, August 5, 2024. We will again be at Mercer Oaks in West Windsor, NJ. The event will include a 4-person scramble with a long drive and closest-to-the-pin contests, free Brooklyn Brewery beer all....
