SALT: Service and Learning Together

When businesses and young people come together, wonderful things happen!

A big thank-you to Everlake Life Insurance for partnering with SaLT for a meaningful Take Care service experience!

Together, we created special Take Care packages to show our love and appreciation for the dedicated caregivers who provide comfort, compassion, and support to the seniors in our community.

At SaLT, we believe meaningful service is about showing kindness, building relationships, and inspiring young leaders to make a difference.

Thank you, Everlake, for helping us spread a little extra love!

Exciting news to share!

Three of our SaLT student interns, Francesca Nottoli, Abby Uhart, and Logan Garcia, had the incredible opportunity to represent SaLT on NBC’s Chicago Today!

They shared how SaLT is empowering the next generation of leaders through service, teamwork, and making a difference in our communities.

We are so proud of these students and all of our SaLT interns who continue to show what young people can accomplish when given the opportunity to lead.

Tune in to NBC Chicago Today, Thursday, October 15, at noon!

We hope you’ll watch and celebrate these amazing young leaders with us!

We are SaLT!

What a special night for SaLT!

Tonight, our student leaders had the honor of presenting before the City of Highland Park Mayor and City Council and sharing the story behind SaLT’s Governor’s Hometown Award – Governor’s Cup!

We are so proud of these young leaders for representing SaLT with confidence, heart, and pride. Thank you to the City of Highland Park for believing in our mission and continuing to support the power of youth-led service.

What a day at Misericordia’s Family Fest! 💙

Our SaLT kids jumped in everywhere …making funnel cakes, running games, handing out stuffed animals, and helping wherever they were needed. Together, they covered nearly 100 volunteer shifts throughout the day.

So proud of this group and the way they always show up for others. 🍩✨ Misericordia, Heart of Mercy

✨ SaLT in Orlando ✨

Over Labor Day weekend, our students volunteered 18 hours at Give Kids The World Village “Where Happiness Inspires Hope.” 💜

An amazing group of young people giving their time, their energy, and their hearts to help create a little more magic for families.

So proud of this crew. ✨
