Saturday we marched. 🤍

Today, on Memorial Day, we are still feeling it. The Chicago Memorial Day Parade brought together veterans, families, kids, and community from all walks of life and we were proud to march alongside our friends at National Veterans Art Museum. The posters, the poppy flowers, the faces, the stories. All of it moved through the heart of Chicago and we carry it with us today and every day.

If you were there, we are so glad you found us. If you missed it, we will see you next year.

Our Kids Rank End-of-Year Family Picnic brought military-connected families together for an afternoon filled with laughter, connection, great food, and unforgettable memories. From friendly games and kids running free, to cookout favorites, face painting, pie to the face, and group photos that captured it all, the smiles said everything.

These moments of fun and togetherness are exactly what meaningful conversations and new friendships are made of. At Kids Rank, HOME is created through days like these, where families feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated.💜

Kids Rank is inviting military-connected families to help shape our HOME Campaign by submitting a creative design inspired by what HOME means to you. Whether HOME is a place, a feeling, a tradition, or the people around you, we want to see your vision brought to life.

Submission Requirements:
🖍 Design must be created on an 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper
📝 Include a short story about what HOME means to you
🎖 Artist must be part of a military family (Kids Rank membership not required)

📅 Submissions Due: June 26, 2026

⚓🌊 What does STEAM Summer Camp provide for military-connected children?

At Kids Rank, Full STEAM Ahead Summer Camp creates a safe and welcoming environment where children can build friendships, explore new interests, gain confidence, and experience hands-on learning through science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

Military-connected children often experience frequent transitions and change. Programs like Full STEAM Ahead help create stability, connection, creativity, and a stronger sense of HOME through community-centered learning experiences.

📅 Session 1: July 6–17, 2026
📅 Session 2: July 20–31, 2026
⏰ Monday–Friday | 10 AM–3 PM
🎒 Grades 3rd–8th

We wrapped up our year with a meaningful Pinning Ceremony as our Pride members received their third and final ribbon: Exploration. 🗺️💜

Over the past six weeks, these incredible military-connected children embraced curiosity, courage, and growth while trying new things, building friendships, and discovering more about themselves and the world around them.

At Kids Rank, HOME is created through moments like these, where children feel supported, connected, and encouraged to grow no matter where life takes them.

Kids Rank is excited to welcome youth back for our 2026 STEAM Summer Camp, a one-of-a-kind nautical-themed experience where science, technology, engineering, art, and math come to life through hands-on exploration, creativity, and discovery.

Campers in grades 3rd through 8th will dive into exciting activities, collaborative projects, and unforgettable experiences designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage innovation. From creative problem-solving to hands-on learning adventures, every day is an opportunity to explore something new.

📅 Session 1: July 6–17

Month of the Military Child isn't just a title. It's a feeling, an identity, a community. Watching that same mindset carry into our Bloom teens reminds us why we do this work every day. These young voices deserve to be heard, and Bloom is carrying that message forward. 🌸✨🎖️
