We are thrilled to welcome Deana Kaplan as Highland Park Community Foundation’s new Director of Development & Communications!

Deana is a seasoned development professional who brings a strong track record of fundraising, relationship building, communications, and community engagement. Throughout the interview process, she truly impressed our selection committee with her expertise, energy, strategic thinking, and passion for the Foundation’s mission. It quickly became clear that she has both the skills and the enthusiasm to make a meaningful contribution to our work in the community.

"Highland Park Community Foundation's ability to mobilize collective philanthropy to strengthen organizations across Highland Park and Highwood has deeply impressed me. As a Deerfield resident, I’ve seen this impact firsthand and am eager to bring my relationship‑driven fundraising and strategic communications expertise to the Foundation at this pivotal moment. I’m honored to work with Terri Olian as well as the future Executive Director to continue building on the strong foundation Terri established, and grateful for the Board’s dedication." — Deana Kaplan

HPCF Gather for Good - Thank You!

Gather for Good was truly something special, and we’re still smiling from an evening filled with wonderful people, incredible generosity, great food and drink, and so much fun.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, sponsored the event, donated, bid, bought raffle tickets, volunteered, or simply helped spread the word. Together, you’ve helped us raise more than $325,000 so far, and donations are still coming in! That means we’ll be able to do even more to support the nonprofits working every day to improve lives throughout Highland Park and Highwood.

And we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our community than Binny’s Beverage Depot in Highland Park. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the night such a success!
