Our Knitting Communities Together group finished out our latest project creating 83 joyful chemo caps for children battling cancer. From dinosaurs, Shrek, flowers, spiders, hearts or just simple beautiful colors, we hope these cozy hats will brighten the days of the brave children who receive them.

Another fun and impactful evening of programming at Gorton Center! It was a great mix of adolescents and adults and they all brought the good vibes! The creativity was flowing and some pretty amazing, and colorful, pieces of art were created.

We had a great time yesterday with the residents of the Harbor, a recovery home in Waukegan, by using a fun watercolor technique to help calm and relax us. But watercolor blooms aren't just calming, they are also great for encouraging creative thinking!
