Hickory Sunrise Rotary Club Hickory Sunrise Rotary is a diverse and welcoming Rotary club in Hickory, NC. We meet Wednesdays at 7:00 a.m.

We are committed to serving our local community and supporting international projects, with a focus on veterans, homelessness, and service above self. Hickory Sunrise Rotary Club is part of Rotary International, a global service organization committed to making a positive difference in communities near and far. in the Fireside Room across from the cafeteria on the campus of Lenoir-Rhyne University

in Hickory, North Carolina. Our club brings together people from different backgrounds who share a common goal: to serve our community, build meaningful connections, and take action where it matters most. Through service projects, partnerships, and fellowship, we work to create lasting impact both locally and internationally. As part of Rotary International, our efforts are supported by a worldwide network of Rotary clubs and The Rotary Foundation, which helps fund service initiatives around the globe. We had the honor of hearing Dr. Michael Wimberley share his incredible personal journey with our club. From growing up in Jackson, Alabama, surrounded by the love and guidance of his parents and siblings, to excelling in athletics, academics, and dentistry, his story was filled with perseverance, discipline, faith, and purpose.

One thing that truly stood out throughout his presentation was how often Dr. Wimberley spoke about being blessed. No matter the season of life, family, education, opportunities, achievements, or challenges, he viewed each chapter as a blessing that helped shape the man he is today. That perspective alone was inspiring.

For 24 years, Dr. Wimberley has been a dedicated member of Hickory Sunrise Rotary, and today’s presentation was a meaningful reminder of the wisdom, experiences, and stories within our Rotary family. Thank you, Dr. Wimberley, for sharing your journey, your gratitude, and your heart with us. 💙💛⚙️
