Hickory Sunrise Rotary is a diverse and welcoming Rotary club in Hickory, NC. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 7:30 a.m.

We are committed to serving our local community and supporting international projects, with a focus on veterans, homelessness, and service above self. Hickory Sunrise Rotary Club is part of Rotary International, a global service organization committed to making a positive difference in communities near and far. in the Fireside Room across from the cafeteria on the campus of Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. Our club brings together people from different backgrounds who share a common goal: to serve our community, build meaningful connections, and take action where it matters most. Through service projects, partnerships, and fellowship, we work to create lasting impact both locally and internationally. As part of Rotary International, our efforts are supported by a worldwide network of Rotary clubs and The Rotary Foundation, which helps fund service initiatives around the globe. If you’re interested in learning more about Rotary, giving back, or simply connecting with others who care about service and community, we’d love to welcome you.

Our Rotary family is keeping our president, Steve Hunt, and his wife Sarah in our hearts after the passing of Sarah's baby sister, Susie Marie Earley, on October 3.

A gathering to celebrate Susie's life will be held this Wednesday, October 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Condolences can be shared with the family at www.bennettfuneralservice.com.

Please keep Steve, Sarah, and the whole Earley family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you to Jessica Chavez, Karla Acevedo, Greg Whitman, Erika Tiscareño, and Dana Hicks for joining us bright and early on a Wednesday morning. We're glad you spent part of your day with us.

A little teamwork and a little time can make a big difference.

Hickory Sunrise Rotary members were happy to lend a hand with a bed delivery for Sleep in Heavenly Peace - NC, Hickory.

And that smile says it all. ❤️ Seeing her excitement and knowing she has a bed of her own is a beautiful reminder of why we serve.

It was a pleasure welcoming fellow Rotarians Harriett Hilton and Lynne Taylor, Co-Presidents of the Hendersonville Four Seasons Rotary Club, to one of our recent Hickory Sunrise Rotary meetings!

We always enjoy the opportunity to connect with fellow Rotarians, share in fellowship, and learn more about the work being done by other clubs in their communities.

📚Supporting our students as they head back to school!

Hickory Sunrise Rotary is proud to continue supporting education in our community with a donation of school supplies for the students and teachers at Southwest Elementary School.

On August 5, we were happy to welcome Assistant Principal Heather Blaylock, who joined us to accept the supplies on behalf of the school. We appreciate her taking the time to visit with our club and, most importantly, the work she and the entire Southwest Elementary team do each day for their students and families.

We hope these supplies help students start the new school year feeling prepared and ready to learn, while also providing a little extra support for the teachers who give so much throughout the year.

This is what Service Above Self looks like in our own community, coming together, supporting our local schools, and investing in the next generation.
