Go RVing's weekly trends report is here—and this week’s insights reveal a powerful connection between fishing and camping, two activities at the heart of the RV lifestyle. According to new Outdoor Industry Association data, camping is now the #1 crossover activity among fishing participants, with 45% (up 7% since 2015) choosing to camp, and a remarkable 78% of anglers saying they camp when they fish. Go RVing’s 2025 RV Owner Demographic Profile shows nearly half of RV owners (47%) go fishing while RVing.

The Elkhart County Fairgrounds was the setting for the 2026 BBQ and Brews event this past Saturday, August 8. Benefitting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Elkhart County, the event featured 26 organizations competing for crowd-favorite grilled beef or pork sandwiches.
From the RV industry, Forest River, Lippert, Airxcel, Inc., Grand Design RV, Newmar, and Jayco were in attendance.
Way to go to all those involved for making a difference in the Elkhart community!

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Elkhart, IN for the RV Industry Association’s Regulatory & Safety Compliance Seminar on July 29! This annual event brought together over 60 members from 16+ manufacturers and nine supplier companies, all committed to advancing safety and compliance across our industry.

A special thank you to keynote speaker Will Godfrey, Director of Mobility, Automation, and Safety at Thompson Hine LLP, for sharing his unique perspective as a former NHTSA employee. Will’s insights into NHTSA’s review process and practical guidance on compliance were invaluable for attendees.
