There's a difference between being a survivor and being a successful survivor. Many people have survived abuse but remain locked in a prison of bitterness, anger, or resentment. Many suffer from what mental health professionals diagnose as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. On the other hand, there are those people who understand that they can't change the past, so they determine to make the best of their situation.

Words carry weight. A rumor may seem harmless in the moment, but gossip can damage reputations, break trust, hurt relationships, and turn people against one another before the full story is ever known.

Before sharing information, ask yourself: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?
