At the Lovewell Center, so many of our members carry a quiet weight — the weight of feeling alone. Isolation is a deep wound that poverty creates, and for many, it becomes a way of life.
But two of our incredible volunteers saw that need and decided to step toward it. They didn’t wait for the perfect moment or the perfect plan. They simply showed up with open hands.
Because of them, the Lovewell now has both a men’s and women’s small group — safe, steady spaces where people can be known, heard, and loved. Week by week, something beautiful is happening. Members are beginning to understand the gospel not just through teaching, but through life together. Through laughter. Through honesty. Through shared stories. Through the kind of community Jesus modeled.
What started as a simple “yes” from two volunteers has become a place where isolation is breaking, relationships are forming, and people are learning to see their lives through a biblical lens.
This is restoration in real time.
