Congratulations to Dr. Adam Porath, NPA's 2026 Pharmacist of the Year! Dr. Porath has become one of Nevada pharmacy's greatest champions for 340B programs, tirelessly advocating to ensure underserved patients have access to the care they need. His data-driven advocacy and compelling testimony before the Nevada Legislature have helped policymakers understand the critical role these programs play in patient care.

Beyond 340B, Dr. Porath has been an outstanding ambassador for the profession — bringing stakeholders together across Nevada pharmacy to advance shared goals and improve patient outcomes. Congratulations, Dr. Porath! 👏

Congratulations to Lisa Barnard, RPh — NPA's 2027 President!

With more than 30 years in pharmacy practice, Lisa has done it all: hospital pharmacy, home care, and for the last two decades, community pharmacy leadership at Smith's Pharmacy, where she leads the company's largest Las Vegas location.

But what really sets Lisa apart is her commitment to the next generation. As an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Roseman University and preceptor for Smith's Pharmacy's first residency program in Las Vegas, she's spent years mentoring the pharmacists who'll shape our profession's future.

Lisa is also no stranger to advocacy — from Carson City to Washington, D.C., including representing Nevada at RxImpact Day on Capitol Hill in 2024 as a Kroger-selected delegate.

Her philosophy is simple: leadership starts with listening, collaboration, and service. Lisa will serve as President-Elect through the remainder of 2026 before stepping into the presidency in 2027 — and we can't wait to see what she brings to NPA in this new role.
