Thank you to everyone who donated to Stella . She had her first checkup on Monday and she is healing nicely.
She still has a month of recovery but, we will update throughout her healing journey

Please Help us !!!
Rescue Vehicle is down !!!
Emergency Donations needed !! We need 2200 dollars now to fix the transmission. This vehicle is the only way we can rescue animals. Everything we do in rescue is dependent on this car running. Without a running vehicle all rescue stops. We rescue approximately 5-8 animals a month and this cannot happen without the rescue vehicle up and running.
We hate to even ask after everyone was so great about donating to stella.
We already paid 2100 dollars yesterday for the timing chain which was loose and could have damaged our motor. We are thankful for that the motor is fine.
Unfortunately the car was not showing any codes and after fixing the timing chain and we found out the transmission is bad. This is not a huge suprise as it was showing signs.

We put about 300 miles a month with all we do to get these animals into rescue, do all vetting they need, driving to meet and greets, home checks and ultimately into a new secure stable home. The rescue vehicle is our life line to all we do for the sick, neglected and abandoned animals we take into the rescue. We simply do not have the money and we need your Help !!!

There is a lot going on here at LVRC
On top of getting Stella taken care of we had another emergency with one of our other kittens.
Portia came into rescue as a stray at 4 months old. While waiting for her forever home, she scratched her eye. mind you she is extremely high energy so we have no clue.
Our foster/ Board of Directors brought her to the vet. She was prescribed eye meds and went home with a cone to protect her from getting at her eye. Well her eye did not get better and she was fighting a pretty bad infection and started to go down hill. She was brought into the vet last friday and the doctor recommended her eye be removed. We wanted a second opinion to try and save her eye since she is so young.
We set up an appt on Sunday to get her eye checked out Majestic Park Animal Hospital since we were going there to get Stella set up.
Well Sunday morning her eye ruptured, she was rushed to in and had her eye removed on Monday as there were no appts that day. She was well taken care of with pain meds and love and she is now home recovering.
A very rough weekend for us and we are saddened that Portia’s eye could not be saved.
We did everything we could but she had just gouged it severely and there was no coming back from it.
She will have a recheck and stitches out in about a week and half and then the vet tech from MPAH that cared for her while she stayed at the vets wants to adopt her ❤️

Please Welcome Kevin to the LVRC family !!!
One of the vet techs Majestic Park Animal Hospital helped our kitten Portia( we had another emergency on Sunday post to come) Jackson reached out to us for help with Kevin.
Kevin was brought into the vets office this last January after being found by a good citizen. He was abandoned, dirty, emaciated and in need of help.
Jackson the vet tech stepped up to help him.
He got Kevin neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped bloodwork ( excellent ) and snap test( neg).
Kevin is a 2.5 years old super friendly lynx point siamese who loves other playful cats, great with cat friendly dogs and will do best in a home with older kids. No senior cats as kevin wants a playmate.
There is an adoption fee and home check required.

Thank you Everyone who donated big and small to save Stella. !!!
Stella is now in foster care with an awesome vet tech from Ann Road Animal Hospital. We cannot thank her and the entire staff for stepping up to advocate for stella !
A huge shout out to Majestic Park Animal Hospital to all Doctors, managers, their staff and Dr. Olsen coming in to do stella surgery.
A big thank you to The Jack of Hearts Foundation for telling us about this amazing hospital !!
Thank you, Thank you to everyone who stepped up to help stella, so she could get the life saving surgery she needed.
Stella’s bill is paid and we got her everything she needed for recovery including new large crate churos( she loves them) kitten wet and dry a variety to ensure she eats to get her strength up and money for aftercare.

Stella suffered horrible abuse 4 broken legs and now is in surgery

UPDATE 9/28
Stella actually has 4 broken legs !!!
Stella’s other leg has a broken Femur that is starting to heal and her other front leg is broken near the shoulder.
This poor girl has suffered extreme abuse !!!
We called Animal Control this Morning so we are gonna do whatever we can to get justice for Stella.
We will update when we know more from the Doctor.

Stella will Have Surgery this Monday !!!
Thank you to everyone who stepped up to donated for stella. We also had an anonymous donor step up to help cover what we didn’t collect in donations. Her care and after care is now set up.
A big shout to Ann Road Animal Hospital for advocating for stella, and reaching out for help, calling Animal Control to file a report and going above and beyond. They have taken care of stella since the incident and now a vet tech has stepped up to foster Stella during her recovery.
A huge thanks to The Jack of Hearts Foundation for connecting us to MPAH vets office !!!
Majestic Park Animal Hospital. They are all about the animals and really have really gone above and beyond to give Stella all she needs to have the best chance to live a happy healthy life.
This is what team work is !!! Everyone stepping up to help an animal in need and we here at Las Vegas Rescue Center are blown away by the generosity and support everyone has given us so we can help this little girl.

We are all just regular people who love animals, We don’t have special superpowers. Our love and dedication is to help abused, unwanted and animals in need is all Heart and Soul.

No one on our team gets paid, we all still work jobs to put food on the table and part of that goes to help the animals.

Update 9/28
The doctor preforming the surgery on Stella just called.
Stella actually has 4 broken legs !!!!
We called Animal Control this morning !!!
The other back femur is healing and we are waiting to see about the other front leg that has a break near her shoulder. We are waiting to hear what needs to be done next. Stella will get whatever she needs.

Update !!! 9/23
Thank you all who donated and supported Stella !!! We did it !!! Stella will have surgery on monday !!!
I ( the founder) worked nonstop last 3 days plus regular job to get this done so i’m emotionally exhausted, I am going to post tmrw and will let everyone know all the details !!!

SEVERELY ABUSED KITTEN !!!
Her name is Stella and she has been horribly abused by her owners !
Five month old Kitten brought into animal hospital from owners with two broken legs. Animal control has been called and kitten was surrendered to the vets office, she has old wound from another fracture on her leg . So this kitten was stomped on, kicked or something horrific was done too have two severely broken legs. We will do all we can to seek justice but saving her is our immediate goal !

We know is is a lot to ask of our community but this is what we do ! We save animals ! We rely on our community for donations that the only way we can save animals.
The amount need to fix both of the kitten’s legs is the lowest quote was 6 thousand dollars with an amputation or estimated 7 thousand for both legs to be fixed.
This poor kitten needs a chance to live !!!!
This is a long shot to get this much in donations and we do not have the money to do it alone but we want to try and save this poor little girl and we are gonna do everything we can to get her the help she needs so she can go on and live a life she is deserved free from abuse !
Money must be collected at time of surgery.
