Today, we join to recognize PTSD Awareness Month and honor the individuals living with the lasting effects of trauma.
In long-term care, we understand that healing is not always visible. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect residents, families, caregivers, and healthcare workers alike—often in quiet but deeply impactful ways.
This day is a reminder to:
💙 Listen with compassion
💙 Recognize the signs and symptoms
💙 Support trauma-informed care
💙 Break the stigma surrounding mental health
Healing begins with awareness—and no one should face trauma alone.
