YWCA Helena YWCA Helena is a non-profit organization providing transitional housing and supportive services for homeless women and their children.

We work to eliminate the enduring disparities that disproportionally affect women and families in housing, education, health care, and nearly every institution in our country. By teaching people how to navigate these everyday systems and reach their goals — by advocating for equality in policy, communication and access to services — we create a community where everyone lives with dignity and respect.

This November, we stand together with our sister YWCA's across the nation in celebrating Native American Heritage Month.

This November, we celebrate Native American Heritage Month. It's a time to honor the rich histories, vibrant cultures, and remarkable achievements of Native peoples across the United States. At YWCA USA, we recognize the incredible contributions of Native women who have paved the way in fields like medicine, science, education, activism, and leadership. Join us as we highlight their inspiring stories and honor their enduring legacy.

RIP Delores. Thank you for being an advocate and champion to many.

It is with deep sadness that we at YWCA USA mourn the passing of civil rights leader, United Farm Workers (UFW) co-founder, and elder Dolores Huerta, whose decades of organizing and unwavering commitment to justice transformed our country and inspired generations.

Today, we celebrate her extraordinary life, honor the movement she helped build, and recommit ourselves to carrying her legacy forward. 🧡

Stand with us and the sisterhood of YWCA's across the nation and globe on October 11th!

UN International Day of the Girl Child is a worldwide day of observance held annually on October 11 to recognize girls’ rights and to draw attention to the issues and challenges that can keep girls from accessing equal opportunity, safety, and health. We mark this date as a key moment to lift our shared mission and to call for action.

Child marriage creates barriers to the ability of girls to access education and financial stability and significantly increases the likelihood of experiencing domestic violence for children into their adulthood.
