Last weekend, we traveled to Canada for a Nite Trek Event. There were Girl Guides Canada, Scouts Canada, and Scouts BSA troops in attendance. 135 Scouts in all. The main event was the Night Trek. It was a 2 mile hike through a forest with 8 events in all. Scouts were mixed with others their age but from different troops. It started at 7pm and ended about 4am. Teams went through youngest to oldest. Some of our guys started at 1:30am! Great adventure and experience. We plan to take this idea and do it locally.

Stage 2 of Pines 4 Perch was started. Trees were transported to Canyon Ferry Lake and stacked with trunks lined up, for the FWP to drill holes for later cable threading. We still have a few hours to go. Thanks to Montana Materials & Construction for their help moving the trees!!

Last Friday we traveled to Bigfork, MT and stayed at Grizzly Base for our skiing base camp. Saturday, we traveled to Blacktail Mountain Ski Hill for skiing and snowboarding. We had a great time and many improved their skills with the help of fellow Scouts and leaders. It was a great adventure!
