FYI to all contestants, here are the rules and schedule!!

PLACE: Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds Multi-Purpose Building, Helena

Registration Forms and Fees Due Friday, June 2nd, 2023 by 5:00 p.m.

DATE: Friday, June 9, 2023
7:00 pm - Early weigh-in for Swine, Lambs and Goats

DATE: Saturday, June 10, 2023
7:00 am - 8:00 am – Pig weigh in
9:30 am - Swine show begins
12:00 pm - Hip height Beef
2:00 pm - Steer Show begins
30 minutes after conclusion of Beef show, early entry weigh-in for Lamb and Goat

DATE: Sunday, June 11, 2023
7:00 am - 8:00 am – Lamb and goat weigh-in,
9:00 am - Goat show begins
Lamb Show begins 30 minutes after conclusion of goat show

RULES:
1. Each animal must have a consistent identifier (i.e. ear tag) that must be listed on entry form. This is to separate multiple animals into weight classes.
2. Classified by: Lambs by weight-must be slick sheared, Swine by weight, Beef by hip height.
3. Goats must be born after July 1, 2022.
4. The judge and/or management will determine the number per class and in the champion drive.
5. Showmanship age classifications as of October 1, 2022:
P*e Wee: under age 8 (candy award) Beginner: 8-10 years, Junior 11-13 years, Senior 14-18 years
6. Contestants showing multiple animals of one species may be called back into the ring with multiple animals. Please have an 4-H/FFA or breed association current member available to help you show.
7. This will be a "blow and go show", as such, plan to have animals fitted prior to arrival and only expect to have a wash and comb at the show, as there is limited wash rack availability.
8. The owner and/or participant is responsible for any loss, injury, illness, or damage that may result to him/her, equipment, animals or property.
9. There will be no in-county show.

Weigh-ins and hip heights will be on the south side of the Multi-Purpose building, coming through the building.

Buckles for Champion & Reserve Champion animals (except for P*e Wee)!
$100 cash for champion and wash pants for reserve champion showmanship.

There will be 80% Payout!

Calling all junior showers!!!! Time to put the date on your calendar. The 2023 Jackpot Show will be the weekend of June 10th! Look for signups around the end of April!
