This weeks scripture is from Psalms. It acts as a beautiful image and reminder that if we constantly rely on God and read His Word, then we will flourish and prosper. When we are faced with problems, we will not wither because we know we have a God on our side, standing right next to us, who will help us and comfort us.

Stand free in Christ! This weeks scripture encourages us to remember that when Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins, He set us free. Without Jesus, we would still be dead in our sin, slaves to it, but through Christ, we have eternal life in Heaven if we believe in Him. Live joyfully in the knowledge of this freedom!

Calling all kids! First Lutheran Church is hosting its Vacation Bible School: Splash Canyon, August 6th-10th from 9:00-12:00. If you know of someone who would like to participate in this fun event (4 year olds - 6th grade), register at https://vbsmate.com/events/FirstLutheranHelena/16858
Don't worry older kids (12 and up), you aren't left out! If you want to volunteer you can sign up by also following the link above! Meet some of the youth in F.L.Y., serve your community, and have fun! If you have any questions comment below!

A pic from our car wash fundraiser yesterday! 4 of our youth are going to the 2019 LCMS National Youth Gathering and the group has been participating in fundraisers since last October. Thanks to Colonial Car Wash for letting us use three of their stalls!
