What a day today serving 122 people. Thank you Reimagine Church for the food and helping to serve. Thanks to Patricia Perry, our co-founder, for helping three people order out of state birth certificates at a cost to the Outreach of $180. The food that was donated today was amazing and enjoyed by everyone. It was great having all the volunteers today helping us out. Lastly, a big Happy Birthday to Linda Mossholder ❤️

🏥❤️ Newark City Schools is partnering with Licking Memorial Health Systems to open a Student Health Center for Newark students in preschool through 12th grade beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.

Located at the former Woodside Elementary School building, the Health Center will provide convenient access to affordable healthcare services, including preventative care and treatment for common illnesses, with parent/guardian permission.

✅ Fully funded and staffed by LMHS
✅ Accepts a variety of insurance plans, including Medicaid
✅ Services available for uninsured students
✅ Enhances healthcare access without replacing school nurses or school-based clinics

We are grateful to LMHS for this investment in the health and well-being of Newark students. More information regarding hours, appointments, insurance, and payment options will be shared as the opening date approaches.

Super day at the Outreach serving 110 people. Thank you Toboso Farmkeepers 4-H group for the amazing blessing bags. The Heath Christ Lutheran youth group came and served wonderful baked goods. It was good to have Paige, Jami and Chris volunteering today along with everyone else who showed up to help. Bob and Christina donated some beautiful clothes as well as volunteering. Thank you for all the donations from our community ❤️

We need the water bottle filling station on East Main turned on and working (which it never is) and some cooling stations in Newark. Can anyone confirm if the drinking fountains on the square and the water bottle filling station is working?

As Ohio's summer season begins, the visibility of those who are unhoused increases. Many people who lack access to heat management conditions in residencies, restaurants or offices opt to use outdoor public spaces.
