2024 NEIGA Championship
Brewster, MA - With great weather and incredible course conditions, the 90th edition of the NEIGA Championship had some record-breaking performances.
Endicott College set a two-day, all-time record with a score of 569 (-7) beating the previous mark of 570 set by the University of Rhode Island in 1998. Additionally, a pair of Gulls teammates (Brady Burke and Will Pierce) tied the all-time individual two-day strokes record with matching 139's (-5). After chipping in for birdie on 18 to get to the playoff, Burke won the championship on the third playoff hole.
The Women of Babson College shot a two-day total of 614 for a 22 stroke victory over Wellesley College. The medalist was decided by one shot and thanks to a hole-in-one on the 11th hole of the Starboard Course, Alice Zhu of Babson was declared the champion over her teammate Laura Lu.
Overall 22 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams competed this weekend. A big thank you to Director of Golf Jay Packett, Superintendent Colin Walsh, and the many volunteers who made this weekend possible.
