Enrollment is OPEN for Cape Teens Rising (formerly APG)! 📣

This six-month program offers free, wraparound support for Cape Cod teens navigating substance use and mental health challenges, at NO COST to families.

❤️‍🩹 Teens meet twice-weekly to connect with peers facing similar challenges and receive guidance from a therapist, recovery coach, and peer support staff.

We are thrilled to announce that BHI has been selected as a beneficiary of the 2026 Seaside Le Mans - The Race for the Cape Cod Community! 🏁

Every year, Seaside Le Mans transforms Mashpee Commons into a high-energy raceway! 🏎️ Teams of six drivers race Formula 1-style karts around a fast-paced outdoor track complete with straightaways, sharp turns, and even a bridge.

👉 And the best part? Every lap supports local nonprofits making a difference across Cape Cod! 100% of profits are donated evenly to 5 beneficiaries. Over $9.8 million has been donated since the race began in 2001!

We are so excited to be a part of this community event hosted by Davenport Companies! It will be a day full of fun, teamwork, and philanthropy.

🗓️ September 12, 2026
📍Mashpee Commons (22 Steeple St, Mashpee, MA 02649)
✨ FREE family fun! Come out and cheer on racers.

This spring, the PASS staff attended the “Outside the Box, Inside the Community: Innovating Rural Health Care in Every Corner” symposium at Ocean's Edge. The day focused on advancing community health work in rural settings and exploring innovative ways to bridge resources across communities. 💡

🗣️ One PASS team member shared, "It was a great opportunity for making connections with other community health workers."

We recently gave a presentation to the Cape and Island Superintendent's Group! Our Executive Director, Stephanie Gilrein, and Board Chair, Sheila House, shared strategies for supporting both students and families and emphasized a continuum of care — from prevention to treatment — for youth and young adult mental health and substance use challenges. ❤️‍🩹

If your school or business/company would like a presentation on BHI and our mission, we are happy to come share! Please reach out to [email protected] for more information.

One of our passionate board members, KC Myers, believes deeply in the mission of BHI because we focus not only on recovery but also prevention. 💡 Recovery programs will always be necessary, but real change can happen when resources are made available to teens BEFORE they are in crisis!
