Our first Harwich Fire Association event at the Old Bank Street Firehouse is in the books — the Kids’ Christmas Party was a huge success! 🎅🏼🎄 So great to see Santa, smiles, and the start of new memories after a lot of hard work. ❤️🚒

Bank Street Firehouse – 1st Floor Remodel Update:

We’re nearing completion, and the transformation is looking fantastic. Just a few finishing touches remain—installing light fixtures, AV systems and TVs, kitchen appliances, and incorporating firehouse memorabilia and décor.
Excited to bring this space to life and share the final results soon.

We’re excited to announce that Dylan Johnson is the recipient of the Harwich Fire Association’s Toolship, a special scholarship designed to support high school students who are choosing to start their careers in the trades instead of attending college.

Dylan received $1,000 to help him get started on his journey as a marine mechanic. This program is a part of our ongoing efforts to support the future of skilled trades as well as college degrees. We couldn’t be more proud of Dylan as he takes this next step toward a successful career.

Congratulations, Dylan, and best of luck in your future endeavors!

Last night, the Harwich Fire Association had the honor of celebrating President Bruce Young for his decades of dedicated service to the Fire Department, Association, and community. For years, Bruce was the mastermind behind our parties and gatherings — but last night, it was his turn to be celebrated. A big thank you to the Wychmere Beach Club for their outstanding service and for providing the perfect venue which included a rainbow and beautiful sunset. Bruce’s legacy will always be a part of the association, but as he steps into retirement, it’s time for him to focus on himself after a lifetime of giving. He will be deeply missed by the department, but his impact will never be forgotten. Here’s to Bruce—enjoy your well-deserved retirement!
