As we observe Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to protecting the freedoms we hold dear will never be forgotten.

On behalf of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW), we extend our deepest gratitude to the families who carry the enduring legacy of these fallen heroes. We recognize the profound sacrifices made not only by those who served, but also by the loved ones who continue to honor their memory with strength and pride.

Memorial Day is a sacred reminder of the cost of freedom and the responsibility we share to uphold the values of justice, service, unity, and compassion.

May we continue to honor our fallen service members by striving to build stronger communities, advancing equity, and serving others with purpose and integrity.
