American Foundation for Children with AIDS AFCA provides food, medicine, medical supplies, livelihoods programs, and school fees to HIV+ children in Africa. Visit us at www.AFCAids.org

AFCA is a non-profit organization that helps HIV+/AIDS children and their guardians in sub-Saharan Africa who have no other access to aid. AFCA provides critical AIDS and related medications, medical equipment, training, nutritional support, school fees, and livelihoods programs support to our partners in Africa. An exciting moment at Harvest Family Village in Zimbabwe: the drilling team reaches water!

AFCA is partnering with Grace Waters to drill three boreholes at Harvest Family Village in Zimbabwe. AFCA is funding two boreholes, and Grace Waters is donating the third.

One will supply water to the greenhouse and gardens, one will serve the livestock area, and one will provide water where the children live.

With El Niño approaching, these boreholes will help the village prepare for the dry conditions it may bring and maintain access to water where it is needed most.

But they’re also part of something bigger.

Livestock is one of the ways AFCA helps families build sustainable livelihoods. Through projects like animal multiplication centers, animals are bred and raised to help families and communities become more self-sufficient.

So yes, they’re very cute. But they have an important job, too. 🌱
