The Shapiro Administration's recently proposed regulations will give the Department of Health, among other things, the ability to access confidential medical records of citizens.

It also gives the Department of Health the ability to enter apartments and school buildings without a warrant to conduct a disease investigation. And it even specifies in the proposal that the Department of Health and health bureaucrats can enter a school and start asking a child or a student about very specific disease information.

It also says that a school official or anyone else are not allowed to interfere with this investigation. Meg Brock spoke with legal experts in Pennsylvania who said this really is a real concern about how it might impact parental rights. One legal expert she spoke with said they would not want the Department of Health coming in and speaking with their child about something that is very sensitive, like a s*xually transmitted disease.

With these regulations, there will be no authority to stop them.

Governor Shapiro is looking to drastically expand his authoritarian police powers through these covert, quiet regulations that are happening at the Pennsylvania Department of Health. There are over 500 pages of proposed regulatory changes that will allow the Department of Health to implement disease control measures really unilaterally, whether they're seeking to do disease surveillance or even for disease prevention, mitigation, or any containment measures. So what this means is that the Department of Health can implement things like statewide mask mandates, coerced vaccination, without any approval by the state legislature.

ATTENTION: Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is quietly trying to erase women and mothers from his state’s health code.
The Democrat’s administration has removed female terminology and replaced it with transgender-inclusive language in a proposed overhaul to Pennsylvania’s health code. The terms 'pregnant woman' and 'mother of a newborn' have been replaced with 'pregnant or postpartum individual' throughout the 502-page proposal.

As our own Chief Counsel Randall Wenger puts it,

“The changing of language in the [Department of Health] regulations represents the triumph of ideology over biology. This change of language doesn’t reflect reality; it obscures it. It erases female identity as a stable category in favor of a fluid concept of gender. The Shapiro administration is so concerned with affirming transgender identity that it can no longer recognize the realities of biological s*x. The department cannot pretend to fight dangerous diseases with its delusions about gender.”

What if a government agent could talk to your child or access their medical information without your permission? In Pennsylvania, that could happen unless you make your voice heard.

The Shapiro administration is proposing more than 500 pages of regulations that would dramatically expand governmental authority.

These rules would force all schools to bypass parental authority and give access to your child to discuss s*xually transmitted diseases or contact tracing. It would give the Department of Health access to children’s medical records without parental consent. It would require healthcare providers to put your vaccine information into a centralized database. They could even pull pregnancy centers and other organizations into a government referral system that includes so-called reproductive services - aka abortions.

We’ve already seen what unchecked government power looked like during COVID.

Now the Shapiro administration wants to expand it.

This would have a chilling effect on your privacy, parental rights, life, and religious freedom.

🚨 Pennsylvania parents: Pay attention.

The Shapiro administration is proposing sweeping new powers for the Department of Health, including the ability to enter homes and schools without a warrant, access confidential health records, impose statewide disease-control measures, and meet privately with students without their parents present.

“Parents have a fundamental right to direct the upbringing of their children. And these regulations that allow a bureaucrat to go into a school to meet with a child without parents’ knowledge and telling the school officials that they can’t even interfere with this. That ends up then interfering with the parents’ fundamental right to direct the care and upbringing of their children. That’s unconscionable."

The government should not have more authority over Pennsylvania children than their own parents.

We’ve seen what happens when government power goes unchecked during COVID. Pennsylvania voters have already placed limits on that power. Those limits should not be bypassed.
