Join the Historic Harrisburg Association for an evening of poetry featuring three Midtown-based poets, including Friends of Midtown board member Tria Wood.

Through original works inspired by life in Midtown and experiences from around the world, these poets will share stories, reflections, and perspectives that connect place, community, and identity.

Our members will be out and about all day long selling at the 2026 FOM Yard Sale from 8 AM–12 PM and volunteering at our Pop-Up Education Session on Leaf Cleaning at The Plant Witch from 12–3 PM.

Whether you're treasure hunting, learning about plant care, or both, we'd love to see you out and about this weekend!

We are thrilled to share that the Outdoor Film Series is BACK for 2026! 🎉 Join Friends of Midtown and the Midtown Cinema this summer for free outdoor movies in the Midtown Cinema parking lot. Bring a chair, grab some popcorn, and enjoy a beverage from Zeroday Brewing Co. while watching under the stars.

We're also excited to welcome 717 Tacos and Humane Society of Harrisburg Area to select showings this year! Check out the flyer to when they'll be joining us!

15 new trees have been planted around Midtown! Have you seen them yet? 🌳

Friends of Midtown planted 15 new trees this spring, with help from TreePennsylvania’s Bare Root Tree Grant and City of Harrisburg’s Department of Public Works.

We’ll be planting more trees this fall, so make sure to stay connected with us to find out more.
