Big news for Downtown Harrisburg!

This week, the Harrisburg Works for All of Us plan was officially unveiled, along with more than $64 million in public and private investment to support downtown revitalization.

PDC is proud to have worked alongside Project for Public Spaces to help develop the plan and, most importantly, hear directly from the people who know Harrisburg best.

Over five months, the process included 4,000 survey responses, 15 focus groups, six public workshops, 30 community conversations, and 25 one-on-one interviews. Those conversations helped shape six strategies focused on housing, local businesses, connectivity, safety and cleanliness, public spaces, and arts and entertainment. It’s especially exciting for our team to see this work moving forward right here in the city PDC calls home.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate and share what they want to see for the future of Downtown Harrisburg. We’re excited to see what comes next!

They showed up—and made it heard.
This week at the Capitol in Harrisburg, Main Street & Elm Street leaders from across Pennsylvania came together to advocate for the continued $20 million investment in Main Street Matters—because our downtowns, small businesses, and neighborhoods depend on it.

Thank you to Senators Vincent Hughes, Timothy Kearney, Joe Picozzi Stefano, and David Argall, and speakers including Mandy Book, Larry Newman, and Christina (Dr.) for standing with our communities!

To every manager and leader who showed up—you are the reason this work moves forward.

This momentum doesn’t stop here.
