❤️❤️👉 Update! Dannsair and Violet finished their extended quarantine and left for their JWE foster home a few days ago. We sure thought both could have been in foal when rescued but they were palpated and ultra-sounded and neither one of them are in foal so that is good news. On to a new life sweet girls! ❤️❤️

📣🚨🆘🚨🆘🚨🆘🚨🆘👉 Poster 09-04-2026. A few horses are Safe and a few were Sold, however we do not know who buys the Sold ones. So many more Thoroughbreds need help and many are running out of time. It is ridiculous that week after week there is no real commitment from the racing industry to help these horses who have served the racing and breeding industry. What is their excuse? Who is going to help all of these horses?

❤️‍🩹🙏👉Update! Look at this beautiful boy Bellville. His shoulder wound is healing nicely and soon will be totally closed up. He is just the nicest and sweetest boy and very loved at STES. ❤️

😊❤️❤️👉Update! The Classi girls, Classi Amour and Classi Couture have arrived safely at quarantine at TOH in Wisconsin. They are tired but handled the trip good. We orginially thought Classi Couture was Classi Prix Trix but have since discovered she is Classi Couture. Classi Couture slipped a little coming off of the trailer and cut her hind leg but hopefully it is only superficial. TOH is tending to it. They will go to CO at a later date after they have had time to rest and be evaluated further. They were at the lot for a month and are exhausted. Now they can rest and relax. Thank you to everyone that helped us to get these two beautiful girls to safety. ❤️❤️

This is the takedown we’ve been working toward for years. Twenty-five horses are alive today after New York State Police intercepted a slaughter-bound shipment from longtime kill buyer Bruce “Rotten” Rotz headed to Viande Richelieu in Canada.

Animals’ Angels investigators were on the ground tracking Rotz’s operation, and we’re deeply grateful to New York State Police for their swift action, with critical support from Senator Dan Stec and HORSEPWR in helping make this intervention possible.

And thanks in part to the New York State Humane Association, the horses are now safe and receiving the care they need.

Animals’ Angels has investigated Rotz and his slaughter-horse operation since 2009. We didn’t stop investigating — and this week, 25 horses got the chance they deserved.

😢💔😢💔Folks, most weeks are hard but some weeks are harder than others. Rescuing Thoroughbreds out of the slaughter pipeline is tough and it can bring great sadness at times and also great joy. Come on City who we rescued in October of last year was humanely euthanized on Monday as her knee and the ligaments above it gave out. We knew when we rescued her she was on borrowed time. After quarantine she was sent to Hasty’s Haven in SC who did everything they could for her. City was even adopted as a companion horse and was content and loved. City had almost a year of additional life after being rescued and we are grateful for that. She was a beautiful and sweet mare. ❤❤
Sadly, another mare we recently rescued from the TX lot has passed away from colic. She went to This Old Horse and they named her Marlo. They showered Marlo with care and love and she was also the sweetest mare. Although, we did not know her registered name, she had a name in the end and she was loved.

🚨🆘🆘🚨🚨🆘🆘🚨👉 Poster 08-30-26. Folks, a few horses at the lots were sold, we do not know to who but can only hope it was to people that have their best interest at heart. We are still fundraising for the two mares at the WI lot. And there are many many more Thoroughbreds at other lots that desperately need help. Sadly, we cannot help them as there are no funds and no places for them to go. We fear some will be taken back to auctions soon or shipped toward Canada. Some of these horses are lame and in bad shape. They need out ASAP. They need help. Who is going to step up for them? Where is the industry?

We have put a deposit on them to keep them from shipping to Canada but we must raise $3450 ASAP to cover their bail and transport. Correction, these mares will be going to JWE in CO. 🚨🆘🚨🆘🚨🆘🚨🆘🚨🆘👉Poster 08-24-2026. Only a few Safe or Sold. So many Thoroughbreds need help. Time is running out for the two mares at the Wisconsin lot as that lot ships to Canada. There is not enough funds and so many organizations are full. It will take an army to get this many horses to safety. They all need help. What organizations can help? Who is going to step up for them?
