Community of Nine Mile Ridge To provide, assist and communicate within and about the community. To communicate with the people in the community and to the visitors in our area.

To provide help and any assistance that would be needed. Nine Mile Ridge is located off of Hwy 63 by Biggers Bluff Inn, which is Bluff Rd, continue on the same road, passing Riverbend Park, over the railroad tracks, then go over the new bridge, and this is where the Nine Mile Ridge Area begins. The Highland School District is excited to once again provide free meals to children through the Seamless Summer Feeding Program!

Throughout the month of June, all children from birth to age 18 can receive free meals at various locations across the district. Be sure to watch for our big red food truck as it travels throughout Rebel Nation, bringing nutritious meals directly to our communities.

We are also planning to continue meal service during the month of July. Additional information regarding July meal schedules and locations will be shared at a later date.

We look forward to seeing our students and families this summer!

Details Released In Fatal Accident In Sharp County

The Arkansas State Police released it fatal crash report on an accident that occurred on Friday May 22nd at 2:23pm.

According to the ASP report, 75 year old Emma Baumann of Cherokee Village was killed when she pulled into the path of a 2024 Ford F-250 at the intersection of Hwy 62 & Hwy 175.

Weather conditions were reported as cloudy, road conditions were reported as wet.

No other injuries were reported, the driver of vehicle #2 was not identified in the report.

The accident was investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
