"...being on the Board has really been a front-row seat to what the trails and the club need year-round..." 🌲

We asked one of our newest board members, Mare Grohowski, to reflect on their first year with the Hancock Trails Club Board of Directors. It turns out, you don't need to be a professional trail builder to make a massive impact on the trails we love.

Check out Mare's full story here: https://hancocktrails.org/call-for-nominations-a-new-board-member-testimonial/

We’re excited to share an important update about how our trails are maintained.

For the first time, HTC is now operating directly as an employer. After years of close coordination with the City of Hancock, this transition marks a meaningful step forward for our organization and strengthens our ability to support the long-term care and growth of the trail system.

With this change, we’re currently hiring a part-time summer trail worker position, with winter grooming roles also coming up soon. These roles are a great fit for anyone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to be directly involved with the trails and the club.

Job descriptions and application details can be found here:

It's hard to believe spring is just around the corner, but when it arrives, the Creekside Trailhead and Bike Park will be ready to welcome it with a native plant garden — made possible by this grant and the hard work of our volunteers! 🙌🌸🌼

ONE DAY ONLY!
Get it while it’s cold!
We’re using the Vplow to push the fresh snow off the snow bike trails tonight. Riding should be good tomorrow, but significant snow is in the forecast for tomorrow night and again on Sunday so it may be a while before biking is good again. The High Point Road trailhead will be the best access point tomorrow since the ski trails will likely be soft.

⚠️ URGENT SAFETY UPDATE: Glide N’ Gorge ⚠️

The trails are ready, but Mother Nature brought the ice! Due to recent conditions, the downhill sections are extremely slick.

To keep everyone safe and smiling:
• 🚶 PLEASE WALK the steep downhills. * The hills are currently sheer ice!
• Please heed on-site HTC event volunteer advice.

Let’s focus on the food and the fun, not the falls! See you at the Chalet at noon. 🍲❄️
