Our Snowmobile Raffle is officially live — tickets are on sale now for your chance to win a brand-new 2024 Polaris Switchback 550 snowmobile.

Tickets are $10 each. The drawing is 11NOV26, Noon–11:00 PM, at Alfred Erickson American Legion Post 186, 1308 W. Quincy St., Hancock, MI. You do not need to be present to win. (MGCB License No. R88212)

On Aug. 7, 1782, Gen. George Washington established the Badge of Military Merit, which later became the Purple Heart.

Today, we honor the servicemembers who were wounded or gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and commitment will never be forgotten, and we are forever grateful for the sacrifices they made. 💜🇺🇸

Post 186 Auxiliary members will be at Swift Hardware this Saturday, May 23rd, from 10am to 4pm distributing poppies. Our poppies are the traditional crepe paper poppies, many hand made by veterans groups. 100% of your donations go to veterans health care assistance. Come and see us this Saturday. Thank you for your support of veterans.

American Legion Post 186 will hold a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Sunday, April 12th, 2026 from Noon to 4pm. Proceeds support the Post, veterans, and the community. Dinners will be served by curbside pickup only. Tickets are $10 and are available now from any Post member or in line the day of the dinner.
Don’t miss out on this delicious dinner with spaghetti sauce prepared by Legion members, cole slaw, bread, and homemade cookies baked by the Auxiliary.

Thank you to everyone who helped support Operation Copper Country Active Duty 2025. We sent packages to our local active duty troops, some overseas, some state side, some home for Christmas. Our purpose was to let them know we are thinking of them and thank them for their service.
