⛷️🌟 Big News from CCSC! 🌟⛷️

After the final regional U.S. Ski & Snowboard race at Snowriver Resort, the Copper Country Snowsports Club had a major accomplishment to celebrate!

🎉 Corinne Rubin of Houghton qualified for the National Championships in Steamboat Springs in the U16 Girls division! Corinne earned her spot by finishing in the Top 20 in all of her races at the regional championships—an incredible achievement against tough competition.

Corinne recently wrapped up her races in Steamboat and represented CCSC and the Copper Country with pride! 💪❄️

👏 Also putting together an impressive regional season was U14 skier Ian Klein, who competed in all of the regional races and just missed qualifying for nationals this year. With that experience under his belt, we can’t wait to see what next season brings!

Way to go, Corinne and Ian! CCSC is proud of you both. ⛷️🏔️

❄️🏔️ Pow Day Perfection! 🏔️❄️
The kids from Copper Country Snowsports Club took a break from training to enjoy the abundance of Keweenaw white gold—aka POW! 😍

Between deep turns and face shots, there was plenty of cheering each other on, sharing laughs, and building confidence together. Days like this help grow a true love for the outdoors and for skiing—because at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about. ⛷️❄️💙

CCSC athlete Laura Lucak qualified for Team Michigan yesterday. Her 6th place Giant Slalom and 3rd place Slalom were enough to qualify for the 10 women team.

She will represent Michigan at the Eastern High School Championship at Attitash Mountain, New Hampshire in March.

Congratulations Laura and good luck in New Hampshire.

It was a bluebird day last Saturday morning when the CCSC team showed up at Marquette Mountain for their first race day of the weekend. CCSC fielded a team of 14 racers for the day's meet, along with a fleet of enthusiastic parents ready to cheer their team on. With the cheers of their teammates, parents, and coaches pushing them forward, racers showed grit and growth as they crossed the finish line.

Four of the CCSC racers took home accolades at the end of the day, including:
- Asher, U8 Boys: 3rd Slalom and 3rd GS
- Ezra, U10 Boys: 5th Slalom and 6th GS
- Kinoka, U12 Girls: 1st Slalom and 1st GS
- Ian, U14 Boys: 3rd Slalom

The day was fast and furious, but everyone went home saying the whole race was FUN - even the parents.
