The school year may be coming to an end, but we’re already looking forward to all the amazing things planned for 2026-2027! The Hammonton Education Foundation has awarded over $34,000 in grants that will support exciting new opportunities for students and teachers across the district.

The Hammonton Education Foundation was proud to support a recent community-based field trip initiative benefitting WES Elementary students.

In partnership with Hammonton Drug Awareness, 50 WES Elementary students and staff enjoyed a guided walking tour of Downtown Hammonton. The day began at the Hammonton Family Success Center, where students learned about pedestrian safety, then practiced those skills on their way to Town Hall for an informative tour of local offices.

Students also enjoyed lunch at Marcello’s and a sweet treat at Mannino’s before returning for more time at the Family Success Center.

This trip provided valuable real-world learning, helping students build confidence while practicing important life and social skills.

Today, HEF President Kevin Friel and Vice President Megan Goblirsch presented Ed Muller of the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry with a $500 donation.

The funds were awarded to the Foundation as part of its recognition as a Friend of Education by the Atlantic County Council of Education Associations, and were shared to support a cause that makes a difference locally.

The St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry is open every Thursday from 2:00–4:00 PM and 7:00–8:30 PM at 219 N. 3rd Street (corner of N. 3rd & French Street). The pantry serves residents in the 08037 zip code. A valid ID and proof of household dependents are required. For more information, contact Ed Muller at (609) 412-4604.

Parents of upcoming 8th grade graduates at Hammonton Middle School have a special opportunity to honor their students in a lasting way through the Hammonton Education Foundation Blueberry Bush display in the school foyer.

Families can purchase a leaf, berry cluster, or more engraved with their student’s name to celebrate their middle school journey. The Blueberry Bush is also a wonderful way to:
✨ Honor a favorite teacher
✨ Recognize a student’s role in the school play
✨ Celebrate a club, team, or achievement
✨ Leave a lasting message of appreciation

Each addition becomes a permanent part of the display, recognizing the people who help make the Hammonton school community special.
