Official Notice from the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society
For nearly 152 years, the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society has proudly sponsored the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
During the Feast, the Society operates its own food stand and B**r Garden. The carnival grounds are leased to Amusements of America for the week of the event.
Important clarification:
The Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society does not authorize outside vendors.
If you are a vendor and wish to set up during the Feast, you must:
• Secure permission from a private property owner in the area to operate on their property
• Contact the Town of Hammonton to obtain all required permits and licensing
We hope this clears up any confusion. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our long-standing community tradition.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemarie Monzo, wife of our longtime late member Joe Monzo. Rosemarie was a longtime member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society Woman’s Auxiliary . Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time.

This is a podcast our late Chaplain, Father Joe Capella, recorded in 2018. If you ever had the chance to meet him, you know what a kind and caring soul he was. We miss him dearly. What a gift it is to hear him reminisce about growing up in Hammonton.

What a proud night for Hammonton!
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society is honored and grateful to receive two 2026 Hammy Awards from the Hammonton Gazette: Best Community Event/Festival for the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and Most Iconic Hammonton Organization.
Thank you, Hammonton, for your support and for voting to recognize the traditions and people that make our community special. These awards belong to every volunteer, family, and neighbor who keeps the Feast and our society strong.
Congratulations also to Scott Rivera on being named Best Municipal Employee. Well deserved recognition for his dedication and service to our town!
