Depending upon where you reside in the Hoosier state, there may be school board candidates on your ballot. This is the first election that Indiana school board candidates had the opportunity to list a political party affiliation on the ballot. Whether you see that as transparency or increased partisanship, one thing is certain: these local races matter. Get informed, know your local school board candidates, and make your voice heard at the polls.

Early voting has begun in the Hoosier state. In addition to submitting your choices for various elected positions, this November's ballot includes two public questions regarding proposed amendments to Indiana’s Constitution. The first amendment would expand judges’ ability to deny bail before trial. The second amendment would change residency requirements for city and town court judges. ⚖️ **Indiana voters deserve to understand what’s at stake.**

Public Question #1 asks voters to amend Article 1, Section 17 of the Indiana Constitution, which addresses bail and is part of Indiana’s Bill of Rights.

Amending our state constitution is a serious matter. Before you vote, take time to understand what the proposed change would do and how it could affect Hoosiers’ rights.
