Families across Middle Tennessee are invited to a no cost community breakfast hosted by Rufus, the Bear with Type 1 Diabetes, and Lifepoint Health! This special event, in conjunction with National Diabetes Awareness Month, is a chance to connect with others, enjoy breakfast, and learn more about how we’re accelerating life-changing type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. This event will feature a special presentation on nutrition from T1D Chef Melissa Walnock. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to our community, your presence will make a difference!

When: Friday, November 13th, 9 to 10 a.m.

Where: Lifepoint Health, 330 Seven Springs Way, Brentwood, TN, 37027

Attendees can expect a provided breakfast, a low sugar cookie dough making activity for kids, to meet other families living with T1D, a special presentation on nutrition with T1D, and a T1D update from Breakthrough T1D.

All T1D Families are invited to join us for a Free Community CrossFit Workout with the Breakthrough T1D Tennessee Chapter, with a special guest appearance from Rufus the Bear with Type 1 Diabetes!

As part of our National Diabetes Awareness Month programming this class is open to all, no fitness level is required. The class will be family friendly with exercise options for children as young as 8 years old. Come out and meet other Type 1s and T1D Families while improving our lives through movement and exercise!
