Rose Tributes are an inspiring example of how a little can go a long way! In theme with highlighting Rose Tribute donors throughout June, we connected with Morgan Prunty, Sigma Alpha (West Virginia U) who is a Network Specialist of Operations for AOII’s Network 2 chapters.

Morgan’s reason for giving to the AOII Foundation is one that resonates with AOII’s entire sisterhood — all 216,000-plus members across North America. She gives because of the positive, lasting impact AOII has had on her life both personally and professionally.

“I am not the same Morgan that joined Sigma Alpha in 2014,” she shared. “Joining my chapter's Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) after graduation showed me how rewarding working with collegians truly is. Now, I have an incredible career in higher education all thanks to AOII.”

Donors like Morgan inspire a lifetime of giving to innovative leadership, educational, and philanthropic causes all made possible by the Foundation’s ability to invest in our enduring sisterhood.

“I learned about Rose Tributes at Leadership Institute [now called Leadership Academy] in 2017,” Morgan said. “I loved the idea of showing appreciation to sisters that had made a difference. I started small, giving to my Network Team and chapter members. The joy those little rose stickers brought every time they were in a mailbox was infectious. Now, every year, I use Rose Tributes to show my appreciation for the wonderful women who make AOII so special.”

Thank you to Morgan and donors like her who impact our Fraternity’s by giving! Investing in the AOII Foundation is an investment this sisterhood now and for generations to come.

Ambition is thriving across AOII Chapters, and the AOII Foundation is honored to help sisters pursue their educational dreams.

For the 2026–2027 academic year, the AOII Foundation is proud to award $246,250 in scholarships to 155 recipients representing 72 collegiate chapters, including 8 Canadian sisters. These awards include 85 named scholarships and 70 Diamond Jubilee scholarships.

From future educators and researchers to leaders, advocates, and innovators, these AOIIs are making an impact in their communities and classrooms every day. Selected from an incredibly competitive applicant pool, their passion, dedication, and ambition continue to inspire us all.

These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of donors who believe in the power of education and the potential of AOII women across North America.

Rose Tributes are a beloved AOII tradition that allow members to honor each other with a small donation to the AOII Foundation’s Loyalty Fund, ensuring the future of our beloved sisterhood.

Having received an AOII Foundation Scholarship as a graduate student, Emily Bulkley, Sigma Omicron (Arkansas State U), says she gives as a way of giving back to an organization that has enhanced her life in countless ways.

“Giving back feels meaningful because I’ve experienced the impact of Foundation support,” Emily shares. “I also know the joy that comes with receiving a Rose Tribute at Convention, and I love having the opportunity to celebrate and recognize sisters in that special way.”

Available now through early July, Rose Tributes are $5 each (USD/CAD) and benefit the Loyalty Fund. Every gift – no matter how small – supports scholarships, leadership opportunities, and experiences that shape the AOII experience of future members and alumnae.

For Emily, giving feels meaningful because it helps create opportunities for other members to grow, connect, and lead that she has experienced firsthand through volunteering as an advisor, serving on the Education Committee, attending leadership events, and receiving an AOII Foundation Scholarship during graduate school.

“AOII has impacted my life in so many meaningful ways, both personally and professionally,” Emily implores. “My collegiate experience gave me a space to grow my confidence and seek opportunities I never would have imagined. As an alumna, I’ve truly seen the lifelong value of sisterhood through leadership, mentorship, and connection. Through volunteering as an advisor at Epsilon Chi (Elon U) and serving on the Education Committee, I’ve had the privilege of watching collegiate members grow, discover their place in AOII, and fall in love with this sisterhood. AOII has been a constant source of support, friendship, and opportunity throughout every stage of my life, and I am forever grateful.”

Thank you to Emily and donors like her who impact our Fraternity’s enduring membership by giving. Investing in the AOII Foundation is an investment in AOII and its impact for generations to come!

In life’s hardest moments, sisterhood makes a difference.

Losses added up for one sister, who first lost her job and then unexpectedly lost her father. Without a life insurance policy to help support her mother and sister, she moved home to help her family and to find a new job. Unimaginable grief coupled with financial pressure, but relief came from the Ruby Fund.

With her sisters' help, this sister stabilized the situation, allowing her to sublet her apartment, prepare their house for sale, and search for new employment. The Ruby Fund was there when a sister needed it most, thanks to her generous sisters.

Support the Ruby Fund and help ensure every sister has someone to lean on when it matters most!

Alan Binkley is not a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. Neither is anyone in his immediate family. But AOII holds a special place in his heart because of one key reason – our philanthropy.

Alan’s son, Dean, was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis as a young child, and he was connected to AOII through the JA Power Pack program with the Arthritis Foundation, which provides crucial resources for children with juvenile arthritis and their families. Power Packs include parent guides, informational brochures, hot or cold relief, and helpful books for kids and teenagers.

May is Arthritis Awareness Month, and AOII is dedicated to supporting those facing the physical and emotional challenges of arthritis pain through its partnership with the Arthritis Foundation. AOII has proudly been funding the JA Power Pack program for more than a decade.

“For Dean, it was a nice distraction to receive the [Power Pack] as a gift out of the blue, but for my wife and me, we were impressed by the thoughtfulness and impact of receiving a bear that you could heat or cool for pain management. It surprised me that an [organization] would support us out of the blue. I decided that day to pay for that Power Pack and maybe a few others to pay it forward.”

Alan, Dean, and the Binkley family are actively involved with the Arthritis Foundation and events held near their home in Raleigh, North Carolina, motivated by their desire to support Dean and raise awareness and funds to improve the lives of those affected by JA! Thank you to the Binkley family for all they do. đź’™ đź’™

We are honored to highlight a member who has a deeply personal and professional relationship with our philanthropy. Jennifer Ziegler, Theta Iota (California State U, San Marcos), serves as the senior director of learning and development at the Arthritis Foundation, AOII’s philanthropic partner. She has dedicated 20 years of her career to the Arthritis Foundation, but she admits that she has never known life without arthritis.

Diagnosed with juvenile arthritis (JA) at just nine months old, Jennifer has only ever known the pain of this disease affecting every joint in her body, which eventually developed into uvetis, an eye inflammation condition that can occur because of this diagnosis.

“As a child, I did not fully realize I was different until school started and I discovered that not all kids took daily medications, attended frequent doctors’ appointments, or wore splints to protect painful joints. While those experiences sometimes made me feel isolated, the Arthritis Foundation entered my life and provided resources, programs, and a sense of belonging — especially through a local JA camp, Camp Esperanza. Camp gave me hope, community, and purpose.”

Even now, Jennifer continues to see arthritis misunderstood or minimized. Many people are surprised to learn that arthritis is the number one cause of disability in the United States and that it affects people of all ages, even babies like herself at 9 months old.

“That is why awareness and advocacy remain so important to me,” Jennifer shared. “I want children and families facing juvenile arthritis today to feel seen, supported, and hopeful.”

Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing your story and being an inspiration to AOIIs everywhere!
