Senior Switch Bowling is back at the library. Our bowlers had a great time getting back into the SWING of these after the long summer break. Look at those scores!

If you thought you saw an unidentified flying object near the library yesterday, it was just us. Our afternoon STEM project was pop bottle rockets. First, we discussed what happens to make them fly: the build up of carbon dioxide when the vinegar and baking soda combine in an enclosed space. Next we decorated our space ships, then we loaded them with vinegar. Luckily, the sun came out just in time to launch them. The final steps were stuffing the paper towel full of baking soda into them and sealing the bottles with a cork. Poor Miss Lu Ann had a few explode on her no matter how quickly she tried to run. It was a BLAST!!
